I Am Goddess Video Premiere
I am excited to share the process behind this collaboration. The music video for ‘I Am Goddess’ will be premiering on February 28th at Unit 2. The night of the premiere will include the first official release of the music video, a photo exhibit by Deion Squires- Rouse, and a live performance by LAL. Deion is a Scarborough born visual artist, currently based out of Toronto. Working primarily with lens-based media, he attempts to communicate the link between the physical world and emotional consciousness, oftentimes drawing upon contemporary themes to incite a connection with his viewers. He is heavily influenced by his forays into the various diverse scenes of Toronto youth culture as well as his experiences as a young person of colour. In his future, he hopes to spread a message of personal freedom and continues to strive towards portraying people and their lives in their truest and most expressive forms. He will be sharing behind the scenes photographs from the making of the music video.
‘I Am Goddess’ is the single off of LAL’s most recent album Dark Beings. Rosina Kazi and Nicholas Murray are the change makers behind LAL. They are a Toronto- based electronic duo that has built a career out of daring their audience to be their best selves, loudly. Their album ‘Dark Beings’ uniquely blends their diverse political and social experiences.
